4th NOAA Workshop on Leveraging AI in Environmental Sciences has ended
The interactive workshop will be a virtual event to build collaboration and initiate the active development of AI-powered applications and community standards.

We invite developers, data scientists, domain experts, social scientists, and downstream users to form small teams around different use cases that are relevant to three themes relevant to NOAA Mission Areas: Fire Weather and Impacts, AI for Ocean Conservation, and Interoperable Digital Twin Earth.

All information about workshop logistics can be found in the handbook for participants.

If you encounter issues registering for the workshop, please contact ai.workshop@noaa.gov.

Contact Me

I am currently a geospatial analyst with Lynker, an employee-owned company. In my role, I serve as a government contractor in support of NOAA's Office for Coastal Management. I spend 100% of my contract hours working on the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) which is considered the coastal expression of the National Land Cover Database (NLCD) and is a Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) National Geographic Data Asset.
My day-to-day work involves innovating code-based solutions to streamline landcover production for both on-premises processing capabilities and cloud-based solutions, implementing novel processing routines to aid in scaling C-CAP up to the national level, and QA/QC of landcover products in accordance with the C-CAP classification scheme.
My skillset lies squarely in image processing and GIS to facilitate classification of different landcovers and land-uses.
I am also a trained marine and aquatic ecologist with extensive field work experience in coastal, estuarine, and lagoonal environments ranging from South Florida to Michigan to South-Eastern Alaska and even New South Wales, Australia.
